Where, When, What, How: Coming to See a Show at La Rocambolesque
La Rocambolesque presents improv shows in Montreal in a friendly, accessible, and vibrant atmosphere. Whether you’re a fan of improv matches, curious to discover an improvisation show, or simply looking for an original night out, here’s everything you need to know to plan your evening.
Where?
All shows take place at the Aux Angles Ronds Café, a warm venue that encourages closeness between the stage and the audience. Here, you experience improv up close: you hear the reactions, feel the energy, and become part of the moment. The intimate atmosphere helps make each performance even more lively and memorable.
When?
Shows are presented regularly throughout the week. To see exactly which concept is on stage tonight, make sure to check the official calendar or the online ticketing page. The lineup varies, but there’s usually always a show to discover.
Most performances begin at 8:00 PM. We recommend arriving 15 to 20 minutes early so you can settle in comfortably, order a drink, and fully enjoy the atmosphere before the show begins.
Most shows last around 2 hours, including breaks — an ideal format for a lively evening without running too long.

Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, it is strongly recommended. Evenings fill up quickly, especially during busy periods. Booking ahead guarantees your spot and helps avoid disappointment at the door.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
If seats remain, yes. However, since Aux Angles Ronds Café is a limited-capacity venue, reserving online is still the best way to ensure you can attend the show.
